Hi there! I’m Jeff the owner of Roots For Rookies. I started this website with one simple goal: to help others learn how to garden who have no clue how to start. I got into gardening after having some health issues. I learned the power of food as medicine and realized that most food at the grocery store wasn’t getting it done from a health standpoint, as well as how expensive groceries have gotten.

I decided to start growing my own food, and to be honest I had no clue how to start. Being a research oriented person, I started researching things, watching videos, following other experts, and began on my journey. While I am by no means an expert, I have learned so much the last few years and I was to share that with others!
